Advice in event of thunder storms
Note:
A Cypress tree was hit by a lightning, tee on hole 4
A siren is sounded when there is a storm. In this event, leave the course as soon as possible and return to the club house. There is no safe Shelter on the course itself.
Recommendations:
Do not Shetter under trees since they ‘attract’ Lightning
Never put up an umbrella.
If in a group, golfers should keep at least 3 meters apart, to avoid lateral lightning hitting.
Leave your clubs, your trolley, any area with water, wires, fences, electric cords, watering devices. Remove shoes with metal spikes if wearing them.
If necessary & in extreme emergency, fold your arms in front of your knees, keep your feet together and your head forward.
